Granting the app access on your iPhone or iPad
When using any of Photomyne’s family of apps for the first time, it will request access to your iPhone’s camera (to use it for scanning) and to your photo library (to enable importing or saving to/from your camera roll). If you denied this request at first but now want to allow it, there is no problem to do so. Please do the following:
- Open the iPhone’s Settings screen > Scroll down the app list and choose Photomyne or the relevant app (SlideScan, FilmBox, etc.)
- Slide the “Camera” toggle from white to green to allow access to camera.
- Tap “Photos” to open your photo permission settings.
- Select one of the three options: Selected Photos, All Photos, or None.

Please note - We recommend "All Photos" so you don't have to repeat this process with newer photos on your camera roll. By choosing "Selected Photos", only the specific photos you've given permission to will be accessible for importing.
Granting the app access on your Android phone
All of Photomyne’s apps requires two permissions on Android in order to perform properly: Storage and Camera permissions.
Storage permission: When using Photomyne apps for the first time, it will request permission to access your Android device’s storage. This is so the photos you scan with the app will be saved on your device (within the app), and so that the next time you use the app you’ll see all the photos you've scanned with it until that point.
Camera permission: Once you tap the Scan tab of the app for the first time, the app will then ask you for permission to access your phone’s camera. The app won’t be able to scan any photos unless you grant it access (therefore we strongly recommend that you select Allow).
Storage and camera permissions on Android
Choosing the Deny option for permissions on Android will affect the performance of the Photomyne app on your device.
