Photomyne lets you find photos quickly and organize them into flexible, searchable groups by adding details and using smart tools.
Searching photos
To search for photos, you need to add at least one type of detail to them. You can search using:
- Album name
- Photo descriptions (from “What’s the story of this photo?”)
- Dates
- Location
- People in the photo
How to search
- Tap the Search (magnifying glass) icon at the top of the app’s main screen.
- Type your search term into the search bar.
- All matching photos will appear in the results.
Tip: You can favorite photos by tapping the Heart icon on a photo. All favorites are saved automatically in the Favorites album on the main screen.
Organizing photos into searchable sub-albums
Photomyne organizes photos in albums. If albums alone aren’t enough, you can create sub-categories in two ways.
Option 1: Tag photos with a common tag
Add the same tag to multiple photos using the photo description.
Example:
- In a wedding album, add the tag #moms_side to photos that include guests from your mother’s side of the family.
- Later, search for #moms_side to instantly find all those photos.
Option 2: Duplicate photos into different albums
You can place the same photo in more than one album to organize it in multiple ways.
Example:
- One album by decade (e.g. 1970–1980)
- Another album by person (e.g. Mom, Uncle Bob)
Duplicating photos does not affect the original photo or its quality.
Good to know:
- Searching only works for photos with added details.
- Tags, names, dates, and places make photos much easier to find later.
- Favorites are a quick way to collect important photos in one place.
