Photomyne is designed to keep your photos and their stories together. If you’d like to export them with the details you added, there are two ways to do it.
Option 1: Save photos with details visible on the image
You can save a photo with a white strip beneath it that displays the details you entered — similar to a Polaroid-style caption.
When saving a photo in the app, you’ll see the option: “Save the photo with details.” If selected, the saved image will include the visible details in the white margin.
This option is available:
- For multiple photos at once in the app
- For one photo at a time on the Photomyne website
If you’d like to save multiple photos with details to your computer:
- First save them with details to your mobile device using the app.
- Then transfer them to your computer (via email, AirDrop, or cloud storage).
Option 2: Download photos with details as separate text files (computer)
On the Photomyne website, you can download multiple photos together with their details as separate text files (one file per photo).
This download includes:
- The image file
- A separate text file with its captions, dates, and other information
This option is helpful if you prefer to keep the photo and its metadata stored separately.
Manage your “Save with details” preference (in the app)
By default, the app asks each time whether to save a photo with or without details. If you want to choose your preference without the app asking each time, here’s how:
- From the home screen, open the side menu (tap the three lines in the top-left corner).
- Tap Settings.
-
Tap:
- Save photo with visible details (iOS), or
- Manually set photo details (Android).
Then choose your preference:
- If enabled, the app will ask each time you save.
- If disabled, photos will automatically save with visible details.
Note: Exporting photos with details is available to active paying members only.
